Figure in Movement, Bristol RWA, 2011

In 2011 I signed up for a one term’s ‘Figure in Movement’ class at the RWA Drawing School, Queen’s Rd, Bristol. This featured poses from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, with most around 1 or 2 minutes. We were taught a ‘stick figure’ approach which I did not find helpful, and soon abandoned. These drawings are my efforts from this class. These are mostly drawn on A1 light Seawhite cartridge paper, with a few on tinted sugar paper. Materials include compressed charcoal, reed pen and ink, willow charcoal and carbon pencil.
