When I returned to Bristol in 1996 I got hired as the first employee in an engineering startup company. Within a few months the workload had increased to the level where, for the first time in my life, I had no time to draw for a long period. In fact I did no fine artwork at all for the next eight years. The pictures in this gallery are the last I made before this situation arose. Some were done at my home in Montpelier and some at the life studio at Bower Ashton. For short (10 minute) poses I also worked in charcoal with bi-chrome wash at this time (see other gallery).
