Pre-Diploma Stourbridge College of Art 1968-9

Many of these artworks are my efforts in response to set projects. In pre-dip we did a fortnight in each department, drawing, painting, sculpture, textiles, graphic design, illustration, ceramics, glass, etc, before spending the last term in our department of choice. Because the Fine Art Painting tutor was only interested in abstract expressionism, I elected to do Illustration for my last term, though I applied for Fine Art Painting courses for my Diploma. In the whole year we probably had about six hours of life drawing timetabled but I got friends to model at my flat in Clent.
